An opening ceremony of the film week for celebrating April 15 was held at the Pyongyang International Cinema House on the 9th when all the people express their boundless reverence for the great leader Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the April holiday in spring.
Present there were Ju Chang Il, Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Choe Hui Thae, Chairman of the Pyongyang Municipal People's Committee, officials, creators and actors and actresses in the filmdom and working people in Pyongyang.
Jong Yong Nam, Director-General of the National Administration ofMotion Picture Industry, made an opening address.
He said that on the greatest holiday of the nation the Korean people pay the highest tribute and eternal glory to the great leader Kim Il Sung who vitalized the Korean revolution and laid the everlasting foundation for building a prosperous and powerful country with his gigantic revolutionary practice.
After the opening ceremony, the participants watched the documentary "Our Leader Praised by All People".
Film weeks also opened in the provinces on the same day.
