Oneautumn day several years ago, Kim Jong Un, general secretary of theWorkers’ Party of Korea, visited the construction site of the Mirim RidingClub.
As helearned in detail about its construction that day, the respected GeneralSecretary attentively looked at the newly planted trees on an artificial mountainbuilt there. And he said that as small pine, fir and other coniferous trees wereplanted thickly in certain sections in the artificial mountain area, peoplewould say in the future that they should transplant them again. One thing isfor sure, tree planting was not arranged well here, he noted.
After awhile, he explained in detail that to landscape the Mirim Riding Club withtrees and bushes like a park means planting small and big needle-leaf andbroadleaf trees and rare ornamental trees by mixing them well.
Thatday he gave instructions on the issues arising in its landscaping one afteranother, including the issue of planting large willow trees to improve the sceneryaround the artificial pond, the issue of building pavilions decorated like woodworkto blend in well with the emotions in forests and planting good species oftrees well in the artificial mountain area and the issue of creating excellentgreening designs.
Hisinstructions were indeed an invaluable lecture about greening and landscaping.
