Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) -- Agricultural workers and members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) met on Friday to celebrate the 112th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung .
Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the UAWK Central Committee, made a report to be followed by speeches.
The reporter and speakers said that on the occasion of the greatest national holiday the agricultural workers and members of the UAWK are looking back upon the revolutionary career of President Kim Il Sung who worked heart and soul to solve the rural question in the whole period of his revolutionary leadership.
They noted that the President led the union to successfully discharge its mission and duty on the frontline for the development of the country's agriculture and the improvement of people's living standards.
They said that socialist civilization is brought into full bloom in all parts of the country under the energetic guidance of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who is ushering in a new heyday of rural development.
They stressed that the General Secretary set forth the programme for the rural revolution in the new era for the rapid development of the socialist countryside and declared the start of the great ten-year revolution to realize the centuries-old desire of the regional people as early as possible, thus opening up a bright prospect for the overall development of the state.
The reporter and speakers called upon all the agricultural workers and members of the UAWK to thoroughly implement the Party's agricultural policy with the faith that they will surely win victory as they are guided by the General Secretary. -0-
