The Fifth Conference of the International Union of Agricultural and Foodstuff Workers (IUAFW) held in Senegal from April 10 to 12 adopted a declaration of solidarity with the people and agricultural workers of the DPRK.
The declaration said that it extends support and solidarity to the efforts of the people and agricultural workers of the DPRK to surely put the countryside on a sustainable development track by perfectly solving the food problem of the country and radically improving the living environment of the rural population and to reduce the difference between cities and countryside by comprehensively developing regional industry and thus bring about a leap forward in the material and cultural living standard of the people across the country.
The declaration strongly denounced the U.S. imperialists for seeking harsh sanctions and pressure on the DPRK, steadily aggravating the situation on the Korean peninsula and laying artificial obstacles in the way of the advance of the people and agricultural workers of the DPRK.
The declaration called upon the world progressives loving justice and peace to courageously launch a joint action and struggle against the U.S.-led imperialist forces.
