Birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung marked by Koreans in China   The General Association of Koreans in China held events at the Yuwen Middle School in Jilin of China on the 15th on the occasion of the 112th birth anniversary of the great leader Kim Il Sung, the greatest holiday of the nation

Floral baskets in the name of the General Association of Koreans in China and its affiliated organizations, organizations of Koreans in China and compatriots were placed before the bronze statue of Kim Il Sung at the Yuwen Middle School in Jilin.

The participants paid boundless respects to Kim Il Sung.

Then a meeting of the General Association was held in celebration of the 112th birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung.

Present there were Chairwoman Choe Un Bok, vice-chairpersons and other officials of the General Association of Koreans in China and its affiliated organizations, leading officials of the organizations of Koreans in China, compatriots, officials of the Consulate General of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Shenyang and DPRK citizens working in three provinces of northeast China.

Also on hand were the Director of the Foreign AffairsOffice of the Jilin Provincial People's Government of China, the Deputy Mayor and the Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Jilin City People's Government, the Party Secretary of the Yuwen Middle School in Jilin and other officials residing in China.

Chairwoman Choe Un Bok made a report.

She praised Kim Il Sung as a peerlessly great man who not only fought the 20-year-long bloody war to liberate the country groaning under the oppression of the Japanese imperialists and defeated two formidable imperialist powers in one generation by organizing and leading the Fatherland Liberation War to victory, but also victoriously led the anti-imperialist and anti-feudal democratic revolution and socialist revolution and thus made the DPRK an invincible socialist power demonstrating its dignity with independence in politics, self-sustenance in the economy and self-reliance in national defence.

The revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered by the great leader Kim Il Sung was brilliantly carried forward and developed by the great leader Kim Jong Il and today, it is further developed under the wise leadership of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, she stressed.

An art performance was given at the People's Grand Theatre in Jilin City.

A reception was given on the same day.

Earlier, a meeting of adopting a congratulatory letter addressed to Kim Jong Un was held at the conference room of the General Association in Shenyang City of China on the 13th.

Meanwhile, colourful celebrations including documentary study, meetings and round-table talks took place at the Zhongnan Regional Association, the Mudanjiang Regional Association, the Harbin City Branch of the Harbin Regional Association and other affiliated regional associations and branches of the General Association of Koreans in China.
