Pyongyang, April 20 (KCNA) -- Schoolchildren in the DPRK have recently started camping at the Songdowon International Children's Camp on the occasion of the April holiday.
They enjoy themselves at the camp, built into a comprehensive extracurricular base on the picturesque shore of the East Sea. Campers there climb mountains, read e-books and enjoy sports amusement games and cooking.
The camp is associated with the warm love of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un , who has worked heart and soul to provide the children with the best things.
Kim Jong Un planned on turning the camp into the best extracurricular educational base in the world, and visited it under reconstruction again and again to give meticulous guidance over the project for perfecting all its buildings and facilities as another precious asset for posterity.
He saw to it that the first steep water slide made in the country was installed at the camp and a sailboat was provided for the campers to take sea sports. Every part of the camp is associated with his loving care.
One day in April Juche 103 (2014), he visited the camp nearing its inauguration and said that it looked like a new one, not a rebuilt one, adding that it is really picturesque.
He went round different parts of the camp that day, saying with great satisfaction that all its buildings and facilities are handsome structures mirroring the Workers' Party of Korea's outlook on the rising generation and the camp is a hotel and a palace for children without an equal in the world.
Thanks to his warm loving care, the camp successfully turned into a world-class one that has all conditions for schoolchildren to possess rich knowledge, noble moral traits and strong physique, including a theatre, amusement facilities, indoor gymnasium, swimming pool, aquarium and aviary. -0-
