The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un has developed the Korean People’s Army into revolutionary armed forces fully prepared politico-ideologically, militarily and technically.

He defined the political and ideological preparedness of service personnel as the basic foundation for strengthening the military capabilities in building up the revolutionary armed forces and the main orientation of army-building. Whenever he visited KPA units, he paid primary attention and stressed the need to preparing soldiers politically and ideologically. At the conferences and meetings which served as occasions for strengthening the revolutionary armed forces, he underscored the need to hold fast to the strategic line of bolstering the military capabilities and focus the Party work on it.

When some KPA commanding officers showed a tendency to rely on powerful weapons and equipment, he said that the country has developed into a military giant with an independent and modern defence industry but we should not neglect the spiritual strength only relying on weapons and equipment, thus instilling in their minds that nothing is more powerful than the spiritual strength.

At the Conference of Information Officers of the KPA held in March Juche 102 (2013), he said that the KPA should conduct ideological work more vigorously so as to win a decisive victory in the political and military confrontation with the enemy by dint of ideology and the spiritual strength of service personnel.

With a do-or-die will, he has directed great efforts to strengthening the military capabilities and developing the KPA into the elite revolutionary armed forces fully prepared militarily and technically.

To this end, he guided the joint strike drills of KPA units and inspected the outpost on Kkachil Peak of Mt Osong within a distance of 350 metres away from the enemy’s post to implant matchless courage into soldiers. And he personally boarded a torpedo boat to guide the tactical marine drills and, when the enemies were hell-bent on war drills of aggression, he inspected Jangjae and Mu islands in the hottest-spot waters to encourage the entire army to devotedly defend the country and step up combat preparations.

Under the leadership of Kim Jong Un who clarified strategies for victory and kindled the flames of the crack shot movement at the training grounds clouded with dust and thick with powder smoke, KPA soldiers put spurs to round off combat preparations, with the view that there will be neither a notice for a war nor tomorrow in completing combat readiness.

In order to build up the invincible military capabilities for guaranteeing the dignity of the people and the prosperity of all generations to come, he blazed a trail for developing new-type state-of-the-art military hardware, inspecting their test-firing grounds at midnight and early dawn. His efforts brought about successive development of new weapons, such as Hwasongpho-series missiles, unmanned underwater nuclear attack craft, strategic reconnaissance drone, multipurpose attack drone, tactical nuclear attack submarine and military reconnaissance satellite.

Today the KPA is fully demonstrating its might as the elite revolutionary armed forces which are boundlessly loyal to the ideas and cause of the Workers’ Party of Korea and reliably defend the security of the country and its people under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un .
