Pyongyang, April 24 (KCNA) -- The 2024 Spring National Footwear Exhibition opened in the DPRK.
Presented to it on the theme of "Convenience, aesthetic sense and durability of footwear" are more than 190 000 products of over 710 kinds produced by the Sinuiju Footwear Factory, the Wonsan Footwear Factory, the Jinbongsan Footwear Factory and other units and more than 50 research achievements made in the field of the shoe-making industry.
During the exhibition, technical exchanges between research institutions and production units will be made in a many-sided way through sci-tech presentation, experience-sharing meeting, symposium, etc.
The exhibition is to be held in the methods of displaying shoes, symbolic and representative of each unit, and receiving public appraisal through their sale and expert evaluation by the jury.
An opening ceremony took place at the Pyongyang Yokjon Department Store on April 23.
Present there were Kim Chang Sok, minister of Light Industry, officials concerned, officials of the exhibiting units, teachers, researchers, technicians, three-revolution team members and others. -0-
