DPRK Premier makes field survey of agricultural sector in South and North Phyongan provinces

Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, made a field survey of the agricultural sector in South and North Phyongan provinces.
Going round farms in different regions including Pakchon County, Unjon County, the city of Jongju, Kwaksan County, the city of Sunchon and Unsan County, he met agricultural officials and workers who are concentrating efforts on immediate farming for attaining this year's goal of grain production set by the Party, and learned about farming in detail.
Looking round the Jongju Tractor Accessory Parts Factory and the Sonchon County Organic Compound Fertilizer Factory, he underlined the need to conduct brisk technical innovation movement for increasing the precision in processing the products and produce and supply a lot of organic fertilizer of good quality to the farms.
The consultative meetings held on the spot discussed the issue on taking perfect sci-tech measures to overcome the influence of disastrous abnormal climate and reap high and secure yield and the issue on actively promoting the work at the agricultural scientific research institutions to breed and introduce strains with short period of growth and strong resistance to drought and base.
At the construction site of regional-industry factories in Songchon County, Premier Kim encouraged the soldier-builders who are speeding up the project while thoroughly ensuring the quality of the building as required by design and construction method and stressed the need to push ahead in a substantial way with the creation of raw material bases necessary for the operation of the factories.
