Pyongyang, May 16 (KCNA) -- The Korean Central News Agency on May 15 released a detailed report on the fact that our builders turned out with indomitable spirit and patriotism peculiar to the brave Korean youth and successfully built a large architectural group in the Sopho area, including more than 4 100 flats and many public buildings in a matter of one year, thus creating again the legendary tale of the heroic youth adding glory to Kim Jong Un 's era of great changes.

The detailed report said as follows:

Jonwi Street, built in a peculiar way as a symbol of the world-startling socialist development and future at the northern gateway to the capital city of Pyongyang, is a proud grand monument to the youth erected by the great love and trust of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , who is making a new history of valuing the youth, and by the Paektusan hero youth spirit and the irresistible struggle of the DPRK youth, the group of the general onward march advancing straight ahead following the Party.

On February 25, Juche 112 (2023), the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un attended the ground-breaking ceremony and made a passionate speech to encourage the young vanguard full of enthusiasm, fortitude and confidence to bring about a radical change in the forefront of the capital city construction and pressed the button of detonator to declare the start of the construction. He also reposed the deepest trust upon the young people by personally handing over the flag of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade, a symbol of the struggle and advance of the young people of the new generation.

He saw to it that the commendable young shock brigade members, who were getting stronger and resourceful as the construction of structures made progress, were widely introduced across the country through newspapers and radio. He also invited them as delegates to the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War and had a photo session with them at the celebrations of the 75th birthday of the DPRK.

He trained and put forward the young people, who formed the strong cornerstone of the development of the state, as brave fighters and honorable builders of socialism who reliably carry forward the tradition of loyalty and patriotism in the ongoing general advance. His loving care was a source of heat and motive power that made the whole area for construction of Jonwi Street seethe with the zeal for performing miracles and feats.

With a single desire to live up to the great trust of the Workers' Party of Korea, the passionate young people from across the country volunteered to work at the new construction site to add glory to the high honor of the Korean youth, for the eternal prosperity of the socialist country and for the capital city of Pyongyang.

The command staff of the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade worked out detailed stepwise goals and plans for building a new street and conducted a dynamic socialist emulation to meet the sentiments of the young people, boldly and vigorously conducting operations and command.

Slogans, watchwords, red flags, large visual panels and quick reports reflecting the Party's idea and songs resounding throughout the construction site further redoubled the fighting spirit of the young builders.

The builders, who started the foundation excavation all at once while fully displaying the mettle of the socialist patriotic youth, the reserves of the Workers' Party, pushed ahead with the project, waging intensive all-night campaign from the beginning.

The fighting spirit of the young vanguard, who remains absolutely faithful to the call of the times and the revolution, was fully displayed in the framework construction of houses.

The framework construction of 54 high-rise buildings and skyscrapers was a demanding task for the young people, but they conducted brisk emulation drive at the construction site with high enthusiasm to complete as soon as possible a new street admired by the whole country.

The young soldiers, who rushed to the Sopho area, fully demonstrated the might of the revolutionary army, regarding as the lifeline the great trust of the Party which entrusted the construction of important structures symbolic of Jonwi Street to them.

The morale of the reliable young vanguard members determined to perform feats to be recorded in history, grew stronger as the construction of Jonwi Street reached its final stage.

The wise leadership of the WPK has brought about a great change in the spiritual world of the young people as it has put forward the young people of new generation as the vanguard and shock brigade in socialist construction, entrusted them with all important revolutionary tasks and meticulously guided them.

True to the noble intention of the Party, hundreds of thousands of young people volunteered to work at the construction site to conduct on-the-spot agit-prop activities and render labour and material assistance to the construction of Jonwi Street amid the mounting zeal of assisting the construction throughout the Party, state and society.

Jonwi Street shining with the proud name of young vanguard, erected despite the most severe difficulties, clearly proves the validity and vitality of the idea of prioritizing the youth of the great WPK which has taken warm care of the young people and trained them to be heroes of the times and giants of creation.
