Volleyball and badminton games for the 2024 national sports contest of teachers and students of universities and the 2024 national paduk contest in the field of education were held at gymnasiums of different universities and the Taekwon-Do Holy House in Pyongyang.
The volleyball and badminton games brought together dozens of units including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Kim Hyong Jik University of Education and Phyongsong University of Education.
Kim Il Sung University and Phyongsong University of Medicine took first place in the men's volleyball event held divided into central-level and provincial-level university categories, Wonsan Jong Jun Thaek University of Economics in the women's volleyball event and Kim Chaek University of Technology in the badminton event.
The paduk contest, divided into team and individual events (kindergarten and primary school categories), brought together more than 200 kindergarteners and pupils of primary schools selected from across the country.
Pyongyang Municipality came first, South Hamgyong Province second, South Hwanghae Province and Nampho City third in the team event.
