Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- The Chollima Steel Complex in the DPRK pushes ahead with the project for additionally installing continuous casting system, true to the decisions of the 9th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Its officials worked out a plan for laying a modern production base after installing a continuous casting machine last year. They have conducted operation and guidance over overall project while making sure that the technicians and skilled workers fulfill their duty and display redoubled efforts and enthusiasm for creation.
Employees of the power repair shop completed the wiring of power system and are now stepping up the preparations for trial operation.
The repair station in charge of industrial water supply system finished the pipe-laying project ahead of schedule while solving technical problems arising in the production and installation of water pipes.
Workers of the automation workshop, too, are making innovations in the project for laying oxygen pipes.
The complex has accelerated the project with the timely supply of construction equipment to the construction site of a building of the melting ground of the ultra-high-power electric furnace.
Builders of the Metal Construction Company and the Kangson Industrial Construction Company are making steel structures for installing an UHP electric furnace in a qualitative way by applying rational building methods. -0-
