Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- The operation of sci-tech learning space is getting brisk at different units of the DPRK, true to the Workers' Party of Korea's idea of attaching importance to science and technology and its policy for making all the people well versed in science and technology. Many units have spruced up sci-tech learning spaces and operated them effectively to prepare their employees as intelligent workers and achieve the development of units, thus winning the title of model sci-tech learning space. Among those units are the Jagang Provincial Supply Coal Mine and the Sinrip Coal Mine under the Kaechon Area Coal-mining Complex, which newly provided facilities necessary for dissemination of science and technology and updated database with latest scientific and technological data. Officials and workers of the Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory and the Chonma Mine invented and introduced new technical innovations to improve the quality of products and contribute to fulfilling their national economic plans. Employees of the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery Preservation Institution made progress in preserving and managing historical relics by using tens of thousands of newly-saved scientific and technological data. Workers of the Kyongsong Electric Appliances Factory have acquired necessary knowledge through the operation of sci-tech learning space and introduced hundreds of inventions and technical innovation proposals to solve the problems arising in production. The Central Zoo, too, has strengthened its technical forces through the operation of sci-tech learning space. The Tonggu Housing Construction Company and other units are making progress in the development and production of units by improving the form and method of technical study.
