Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, inspected various sectors in North Hwanghae Province and Nampho Municipality. Going round the Unjong Livestock Farm under the North Hwanghae Provincial Rural Economy Committee and the Zootechny Institute of the Academy of Agricultural Science, he learned about the production and supply of dairy products and the progress of scientific researches. He called upon officials, working people and researchers to fulfill their duty with high consciousness as masters directly responsible for the implementation of the Party's childcare policy. At the Migok Farm in Sariwon City, the Chongsan Farm in Kangso District and the Chonggye Cotton Farm in Pongsan County, he encouraged the agricultural workers concentrating all their efforts on farming out of the single mind to glorify this year with high-yield successes and learned about the current farming. Saying that officials should give scientific guidance at farming on the basis of the Party's policies, he stressed the need to finish rice-transplanting in the right time and in a qualitative way, improve the nutrition care of transplanted rice seedlings, manure and cultivate the earlier crops including wheat and barley in a scientific and technological way, take thorough measures to overcome the effects by abnormal climate and further perfect the irrigation system. He also called for ensuring the effective dissemination agricultural science and technology and pushing ahead with the work to lay a solid material and technical foundation at farm machine repair bases so as to raise the proportion of mechanization in farming, adding that deputies to power organs should fulfill their responsibility and role in implementing the Party's agricultural policy. Visiting the Sariwon City Food Administration Station, he said that the station should carry out the grain processing plan without fail, mindful of the importance of its duty in improving the people's diet. At raw material base stations in Sariwon City and Kangso District, he said that the success in implementing the Party's policy for regional-industry development depends on the role of officials and stressed the importance to work out a realistic plan for creating raw material bases in conformity with the regional economic conditions and carrying it out stubbornly.
