Rice Farming Issue He Stressed
One day the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited Farm No. 1116 and paid deep attention to the rice farming.
The General Secretary told the farm’s officials that the double-cropping method should be accomplished, recollecting that President Kim Il Sung in his 80s visited the Yonbaek Plain and instructed to produce 10 tons of rice per hectare. He stressed the need to keep in mind the President’s instructions as instructions applicable to all the areas of the country.
The respected General Secretary’s teaching reflects his noble will to make our country into a country with abundant rice as the President wished.
The General Secretary earnestly said that the agricultural field should increase per-hectare yield to carry out the President’s behests and fully solve the problem of food for the people.
Receiving his teaching the officials pictured the rosy future when all the farms would have rich harvests true to the General Secretary’s noble intention.
His Earnest Request
One July day several years ago a senior official of the Singye County Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea unexpectedly was honored to meet the respected General Secretary at the office building of the WPK Central Committee.
The official was deeply moved to look up to the General Secretary who personally called him despite his busy state affairs.
The General Secretary asked him about the crops that year. The officials replied that the county had rich early crops that year and fulfilled the plan for grain procurement and solved the problem of food for the farmers.
Then the General Secretary earnestly requested the official to do farming well at any cost that year, solve the problem of food for the people and provide the people with settled life.
Receiving the earnest request from the General Secretary the official deeply understood his noble intention to bring about a decisive turn in farming of the Miru Plain and solve the problem of food for the people.
This story conveys the world of devotion of the respected General Secretary who works heart and soul to develop agriculture of the country and provide the people with abundant life.
