Implanting Spirit of Self-reliance into Their Mind

One December day, Juche 104(2105), the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un gave precious instructions in self-development when sitting in company with officials.

He said that self-development is the most powerful force for us, and explained that self-development is the force which makes oneself strengthen.

Then he stressed that only when one is equipped with the spirit of self-development, he is able to develop himself by his own efforts.

Hearing his instructions, the officials were lost in deep thought.

Looking back upon the past, the history of the Korean revolution is the history which was pioneered and victorious by dint of self-development.

Looking round the officials, the respected General Secretary instructed that without self-development, the working class could not keep their revolutionary nature in its original form and we fail to build the socialist power successfully.

And then, he continued as follows:

As an organism cannot live without water and air, the revolutionaries cannot make their own way without self-development. If the revolutionaries gave up self-development, they would become human vegetables.

That day, the officials kept deep in mind the noble will of the respected General Secretary who intends to open up a new era of self-reliant prosperity under the banner of the principle of giving priority to self-development, the main guarantee for consolidating the country’s material and technical bases.

What Cannot Be Bartered for Anything

To turn our country into a world power which prospers by dint of self-reliance--this is an unshakable will of our Party.

At the 5th Plenary Meeting of the 7th Party Central Committee, the respected General Secretary stressed that the guiding ideology of our Party is the Juche idea and the path of the Korean revolution lies in self-development and self-prosperity.

Then he continued that the dignity and greatness of our state and people is, from A to Z, thanks to the buildup of strength by dint of self-reliance and self-reliance and independence cannot be bartered for anything.

His instructions convey the profound meaning:

The way of self-reliance and independence is the way of keeping one’s dignity and glorifying his honor, though it would be easier said than done; and what makes our Republic frustrate the enemies’ tight blockade and follow the road of prosperity is the self-reliance.

Therefore, the respected General Secretary stressed that for us, every creature which is created by dint of self-reliance through self-sufficiency is the precious wealth for the development and prosperity of the country.

Now his precious instructions implant deep in our people’s mind the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and lead them to constantly follow the road of self-reliance and independence, a shortcut to the overall progress in socialist construction.
