The Democratic People's Republic of Korea holds fast to self-reliance as the lifeline in the revolution and construction.
Self-reliance is the mode of struggle and advance of Korea which regards independence and self-respect as her lifeblood.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un emphasized at the plenary meetings of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea that the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance should be fully displayed in the revolution and construction and that only self-reliance is our way out.
In Juche 108(2019) he advanced the slogan "Let us open a new road of advance for socialist construction under the uplifted banner of self-reliance!" and called for bringing about a revolutionary upsurge on all fronts of socialist construction with self-reliance as a treasured sword of prosperity.
At the Eighth Congress of the WPK, too, he said the main seed and theme of the five-year plan for national economic development are, as always, self-reliance andself-sufficiency.
He highly appreciates the creations made at the units he visits with their own efforts and technology.
When he visited the Wonsan Army-People Power Station on December 12, Juche 105(2016), Kim Jong Un highly appreciated the spirit of self-reliance displayed by people in Kangwon Province.
The large-scale Wonsan Army-People Power Station built by people in Kangwon Province with their own efforts produces electricity by diverting the course of a river flowing into the West Sea of Korea to the East Sea of Korea to make a high head.
Looking at the wide artificial lake, Kim Jong Un said he came to feel once again the great and powerful spirit of a man who is determined to do.
This is a power station which proved once again that self-reliance is the only way out and we can do anything when we hold fast to self-reliance and self-development as the driving force; it is the power station associated with the indomitable fighting spirit of our Party, he added.
It is the will of Kim Jong Un that when we always struggle with belief in our strength, we can occupy any fortress and overcome any difficulties.
That is why the Korean people achieve the overall development of socialist construction with the might of self-reliance true to his will.
