Pyongyang, May 22 (KCNA) -- The mining industry field is increasing the production of nonferrous metals by dint of science and technology. The Manpho Smeltery is boosting production through a mass technological innovation movement. It has considerably lowered the copper grade of slag and solved technical problems for raising the charging capacity, thus increasing the amount of concentrated ore charges as compared with last year. The officials and workers of the Munphyong Smeltery are making a contribution to increasing production by obtaining high-grade raw materials from wastes from production processes. The Unpha and the Hyesan youth mines have also made technical innovations to raise the extraction rate of ore dressing and the grade of concentrated ores and speed up the transport of equipment, thus providing a guarantee for increased production of minerals. The production of nonferrous metals is increasing thanks to the devoted efforts of the officials and workers in the mining industry field.
