Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- Officials and coal miners in the coal industrial sector of the DPRK are striving to increase the coal output.
Coal mines under the Ministry of Coal Industry produced more than 40 000 tons of extra coal in May, as compared with the same period of last year.
The Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex is pushing ahead with the work to secure more coal fields while giving priority to tunneling.
The Kangdong, Tukjang and Myongchon area coal mining complexes are concentrating their efforts on providing reserve cutting faces.
Officials and coal miners of the Jagang Provincial Supply Coal Mine under the Kaechon Area Coal Mining Complex produce dozens of tons of more coal every day than plan and Kaechon, Joyang and other coal mines are over-fulfilling their quotas while increasing the proportion of mechanization in face work.
Coal mining companies of the Sunchon Area Youth Coal Mining Complex boost the operating rate and utilization rate of coal mining equipment and thus produce a lot of coal every day.
The Tokchon, Onsong and Kujang area coal mining complexes are making efforts to produce more coal while introducing rational working methods suited to face conditions. -0-
