Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- Rice-transplanting is progressing apace in the rural areas of Kangwon Province, the DPRK.
Agricultural workers of the Ogye and Wollang farms in Anbyon County finished rice-transplanting on the main areas ten days earlier than the same period of last year.
The Ryongchon Farm and the Hyondong Vegetable Farm in the city of Wonsan are concentrating efforts on raising the survival rate of rice seedlings while ensuring the number of plants per phyong.
Thongchon County has secured spare parts and repaired tractors and other farm machines, and farms in the city of Munchon and Phangyo County are putting the nutritional care of rice seedlings on a scientific and technological basis.
Officials and working people in the province, cities and counties went to the farms to carry out their assignments. -0-
