Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- Workers in the railway transport sector of the DPRK over-fulfilled their freight transport plans for May for implementing the policy of regional industry development ahead of schedule.
Officials of the Ministry of Railways have thoroughly established the unified command system at all units and ensured the promptness, accuracy, smoothness and safety of transport by organizing well the formation and distribution of trains according to the rated traction tonnage and operation direction of locomotives.
The Pyongyang Railway Bureau conducted the freight transport in a responsible manner while frequently inquiring the formation and inter-process engagement of intensive transport trains and the operation of equipment.
The workers of the Hamhung Railway Bureau immediately sent trains carrying building materials without delay by tightening the inter-process engagement and reducing trains' stoppage time.
The Chongjin and Kaechon railway bureaus, too, made collective innovations in freight transport by applying the operation methods suitable for route sections and solving the necessary accessories by themselves. -0-
