Active efforts are made in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to cope with the disastrous abnormal weather.
The State Emergency Disaster Committee takes scientific and practical measures for minimizing the damage by mobilizing all the human, material and technological potentials in order to protect the lives and property of the people and the precious assets of the country from the effects of the disastrous abnormal weather.
The Party and government organs in all parts of the country make full preparations to thoroughly deal with the possible crisis, since disastrous meteorological phenomena occurred continuously in recent years.
The agricultural, electric power industry and other sectors of the national economy make it a fait accompli to be affected by disastrous abnormal weather this year, too, and take practical measures to cope with it.
The hydro-meteorological sector sends short-, medium- and long-term weather forecast data and those on disastrous weather to the relevant sectors on a regular basis, perfecting the system of predicting abnormal climate phenomena properly and transmitting necessary information promptly and correctly.
