Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- All parts of the DPRK are enlivened with moving into new houses this year, the third year of implementing the programme of the Workers' Party of Korea for rural revolution in the new era.
Everyone expresses admiration at those houses, built in a peculiar way with modernity, cultural practice and diversity to offer conveniences to the residents, and at the new villages with spectacular landscapes peculiar to the countryside.
Seeing the agricultural workers full of joy and emotion, who became the owners of new houses free of charge, all the people in the country would say this is a miraculous reality that can be brought only by the great Workers' Party of Korea.
The programme of the rural revolution in the new era was proclaimed at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK held in December Juche 110 (2021).
At the plenary meeting, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un stressed the importance to usher in a great new era for the socialist countryside's rapid development of Korean style and set forth a gigantic and important task for dynamically waging a drive to renew the rural villages across the country.
After the meeting, he saw to it that a powerful headquarters was organized for rural construction and took a revolutionary step to promptly supply cement needed for the rural housing construction.
He took a series of measures to push ahead with the rural construction on a party-wide and nationwide scale, including the work to build construction forces as soon as possible in provinces, cities and counties and to quickly start the construction.
In those days, layouts of 100 styles of houses for coastal areas, plains and mountainous areas ensuring the political principles, modernity, cultural practice and regional features were completed under the guidance of the General Secretary and introduced into the housing construction.
Thanks to his devotion and efforts, modern houses with single- and low- storied and terraced shapes have been built in the country's rural areas according to the regional features and people have moved into the new houses every year and month without regard to the seasons. -0-
