A national contest among the literature group members for 2024 is to be held in the DPRK from June to September.
It will bring together literature group members throughout the country.
Works describing the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un associated with their regions and units will be presented to the contest.
Those representing the life of working people who are struggling in the campaign for implementing the Party’s policy will also be presented.
In the field of novel literature, short novels and essays will be produced; in the field of literature of poetry, selections of poems, stanzaed poems, lyrics and lyric lines; in the field of juvenile literature, juvenile novels, juvenile stories, fables, childpoems, children’s songs and etc.; in the field of dramatic literature, dramas, light comedies, satirical dramas, witticisms and short plays.
The Central Committee of the Writers Union of Korea will judge those works and fine works will be introduced through its organ papers.
