June 19, when Chairman Kim Jong Il started his work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, is another significant day shining long in the history of the WPK, together with October 10, its foundation day.
On June 19, Juche 53 (1964), Kim Jong Il began his work spent the first night of start of work at the Central Committee of the WPK in his office. The next day he came out to the garden together with officials at dawn.
Looking at the flag of the WPK flying over the building, he told officials that the flag of the WPK reflects the history of the great revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung and that we should fly high the flag of the WPK and that it is my lifelong task to develop the WPK into the party forever.
He made all his efforts to develop the WPK into an ever-victorious revolutionary party, keeping in mind the pledge he made that day.
Thanks to the wise guidance of Kim Jong Il who formulated the revolutionary ideas of the President as Kimilsungism and held high the banner of modeling the whole party on Kimilsungism, the WPK has developed into an invincible party which is imbued with the ideas of the leader and moves as one under the unified leadership of the leader.
Indeed, the decades in which he led the WPK are the heroic epic course of the outstanding leader who performed immortal exploits for the party and revolution, the country and the people.
June 19 is shining as the day of glory in the history of the WPK thanks to the noble intention of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who made sure that the history of ideas and leadership of Kim Jong Il is given steady continuity on this land. -0-
