Pyongyang, June 21 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers of the Posan Iron Works in the DPRK have fulfilled their Samhwa iron production plan for the first half of the year.
The iron works worked out a plan for current production and readjustment and reinforcement project and raised the enthusiasm for socialist emulation at every unit and, at the same time, urged all workshops to carry out their schedules without fail.
Workers and technicians of the revolving furnace workshop produced a large amount of Samhwa iron every day and the sorting workshop raised the sorting capacity while keeping the requirements of technical regulations and standard operating method.
The raw material workshop supplied the necessary raw materials by raising the operation rate of charging equipment and the pulverized coal workshop conducted a mass technical innovation movement to operate the pulverizing system more rationally.
Officials, workers and technicians set it as an important task for the whole iron works to push ahead with the readjustment and reinforcement project and mobilized all reserves and potentials.
They successfully replaced the body of the revolving furnace and carried out the overhaul of crane and other equipment.
In cooperation with relevant units, they also pushed ahead with the repair of oxygen separator to lower the consumption of raw materials and laid a foundation for improving the quality of Samhwa iron. -0-
