Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- A tragicomedy has been staged in the United States to become a topic of public conversation.
Shortly ago, a son of the U.S. president was convicted of lying about his drug use to illegally buy a gun.
Great irony is that Biden showcased his administration's "efforts" to cut down on illegal gun trafficking and reduce crime at a gun violence prevention event, just hours his son was found guilty.
Mentioning nothing about the case, he said only that "all the victims of gun violence are not forgotten and they didn’t' die in vain."
As soon as this fact was known, people from all walks of life in the U.S. censured him, stating that the president again staged a disgusting, deceptive farce of insulting and mocking at the victims of gun-related violence.
As known, gun-related crimes in the U.S., an incurable malignancy threatening the lives of people, have long surfaced as a serious social issue.
Last year alone, big gun-related accidents in the U.S. totaled to 654 cases and the number of their victims reached at least 43 000, an average of 117 a day.
The successive rulers of the U.S. had put forward such "laws" as "regulation" and "restrictions" allegedly to prevent gun-related violence.
As soon as coming to power, the incumbent president, too, hurled a series of new packages and measures for arms control, claiming that he would protect the American population from gun-related violence by using all means.
But, the facts show that "new laws" are not in force and, on the contrary, the criminal "gun culture" is prevalent even among the family of the direct maker of gun-control proposal.
This being a hard reality, the U.S. chief executive "bravely" set out on a despicable advertisement campaign for "praising his merits" while hiding the crimes of his kinsmen in a bid to create favorable conditions for the future presidential election.
It is inevitable that the corrupt political climate will result in an anti-social rule.
Moreover, the U.S. ruling quarters are concerned of dirty political and financial interests to the gun-related crimes and, accordingly, they will never take any practical step to prevent such crimes.
The reality goes to prove that any political and social issues, the urgent solution of which the working masses wait for, can never be settled in the U.S. styling itself "a model of the world" and "a beacon of democracy".
The U.S. society is a veritable hell and the world's biggest tundra of human rights as all politics and laws there have been worked out only for its politicians' scramble for power and selfish purposes and have been used as a means of deception and lies for the working masses. -0-
