Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a message of greeting to Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, on Monday.

He in the message extended warm comradely greetings to Thongloun Sisoulith and the fraternal Lao party, government and people on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Over the past 50 years our two countries have established and developed solid ties based on comradely friendship and revolutionary obligation in the struggle for accomplishing the socialist cause, the message said.

Expressing belief that the DPRK-Laos relations of friendship and cooperation would develop onto a higher stage, the message sincerely wished Thongloun Sisoulith greater success in his responsible work for leading the party and the state.
