Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- Mass rallies took place in provinces, cities and counties of the DPRK on June 25, the day of struggle against U.S. imperialism.

Present there were officials of the regional Party, power and economic organs and working people's organizations, working people, youth and students.

At the mass rallies in North and South Phyongan and South Hwanghae provinces, the speakers said that 70-odd years has passed since the U.S. imperialists ignited a war to nip the young DPRK in the bud, but the inveterate grudge of June 25 still remains in the minds of the people.

As the DPRK people keenly realized that only strong military muscle can defend genuine peace and everything of valuables on this land, they have possessed the strongest absolute weaponry to punish the U.S. imperialists and the self-defensive war deterrence that no enemy dares to provoke, true to the Workers' Party of Korea's idea of building up the self-reliant national defence, the speakers stressed.

Hot-blooded outcry and shouts of revenge against the U.S. imperialists were heard at the mass rallies in Anju and Kusong cities, Pukchang, Ryongchon and Unchon counties and other parts of the country.

The venues of mass rallies in North Hwanghae, Jagang and Kangwon provinces, too, were filled with the surging indignation and the strong will to annihilate the U.S. imperialists and the puppet ROK clans who are still running amuck to invade the DPRK again, not content with having ignited a war of aggression and reduced to ashes its streets and villages 70-odd years ago.

Expressed at the mass rallies in Songrim, Huichon and Munchon cities, Kumchon, Hyangsan and Sepho counties and other cities and counties were the strong resolve to put an end to the confrontation with the U.S. and achieve the victory in the building of a powerful socialist country.

At the mass rallies in South Hamgyong, North Hamgyong and Ryanggang provinces, speakers said that as long as the U.S. imperialists and the puppet ROK clans remain, genuine peace and stability can never settle on this land and the enemies seeking the DPRK people's lives should be mercilessly and exhaustively punished and annihilated.

At the mass rallies in Sinpho, Kim Chaek and Samjiyon cities and Hongwon, Musan and Taehongdan counties, the participants hardened their determination to make full preparations for a war while closely watching the enemies' moves for provoking a new war.

The surging wrath and hostility toward the sworn enemies making desperate efforts to check the existence and development of the DPRK were also displayed at the mass rallies in Nampho, Rason and Kaesong municipalities.

The masses in Onchon and Jangphung counties and Sonbong District, too, were filled with the determination to thoroughly implement the decisions of the plenary meetings of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea with the mind of showering bullets and shells on the enemies.

Then followed demonstrations. -0-
