Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- In order to successfully follow the orientation of state affairs and carry out all the tasks this year, the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea reviewed the work in the first half of the year, set the main orientation of the work and policies of struggle for the second half of the year and discussed and decided on the important issues of practical significance in preserving the original features and people-oriented character of Korean-style socialism, says Rodong Sinmun in an editorial Saturday.

It is the steadfast will of the Party Central Committee to fully demonstrate to the whole world the country's inexhaustible development capability and spirit of advance by successfully attaining the planned goals through a more dynamic struggle for this year to provide a reliable practical guarantee for implementing the decisions of the Eighth Party Congress, the editorial says, and continues:

All the officials, Party members and other working people should put spurs to the struggle for the second half of the year and push forward with it with great confidence and the spirit of uninterrupted progress so as to perfectly carry out the Party decisions and leading an upturn of socialist construction to uninterrupted innovations and successive leaps forward.

In the first half of this year, the economic field achieved a positive trend and growth speed, clearly distinguishable from the past ones, and different sectors of the country strived for their revitalization. This proud reality proves the validity of the Party policies and their might of change and inspires all the people to have greater confidence in their struggle, future and strength.

The concluding speech of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un clearly indicates the most scientific path for dynamically advancing toward the victorious conclusion of the year 2024 and the strategy for leading an upturn of socialist construction to uninterrupted innovations and successive leaps forward. It gives stronger confidence in our cause and the prospects of struggle to the DPRK people who have turned out as one in the struggle for the second half of the year and injects great vitality into the general onward march.

The DPRK people full of great confidence and high spirits will clearly show the world what remarkable miracles are made on this land and how the authority of the Party Congress is defended by dint of their inexhaustible and redoubled efforts.

Definite is the victory of this year’s struggle as there are the red flag of the WPK which is fluttering in the van and the united people who are boundlessly faithful to the idea and leadership of the Party.

Let us all glorify this year of key importance in implementing the programme of the Party Congress as a year of fresh changes full of proud successes by turning out as one in the advance of the second half of the year with redoubled courage and in high spirits, united around the great Party Central Committee. -0-
