Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- A memorial concert was given at the Samjiyon Theatre on July 8, the 30th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung , warmly reflecting the noblest reverence of all the DPRK people and the officers and men of the People's Army for the sacred life and immortal exploits of the great father of the nation-building and the eternal leader of the revolution.

The venue of the concert was filled with the ardent yearning for Kim Il Sung who is alive in the hearts of the DPRK people and progressive mankind as the most prominent leader and peerlessly great sage of the 20th century.

Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the DPRK, appreciated the concert.

Kim Tok Hun, premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, and Choe Son Hui, minister of Foreign Affairs, watched the concert.

Among the audience were Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju and other veteran cadres who had worked in the Party, government and military for a long time, bereaved families of anti-Japanese revolutionary martyrs, those related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and their families, merited persons and citizens of Pyongyang.

The national anthem of the DPRK was played.

The concert started with chorus and orchestra "Our Leader". Put on the stage were famous songs of memories full of the greatest glory and pride of the DPRK people who have lived and struggled, holding in high esteem as their leader and father the peerlessly great man unprecedented in the human history, and hymns of immortalizing the leader.

The performers sang in high praises of the reverence for Kim Il Sung who turned the history of national distress, which had been dark with subservience to great powers and national ruin, into the brilliant one of national prosperity under the banner of Juche and opened up a bright prospect of socialist Korea, covering a rough road of adversities for the freedom and happiness of the people and independent development of the country and the nation for 70 years since he embarked on the road of revolution in his teens.

Through the numbers adding to the pride in the great single-hearted unity rooted in the era of glory, eternal dignity and bright future, the audience more keenly realized that the heroic epic course of the President who set a world example in building a socialist state and opened up a new era of independence with his rare wisdom, outstanding ideology and theory and unique revolutionary practice is an example of the most genuine life and struggle to be eternally glorified as long as there are the people and the revolution continues.

The concert, which sang in high praises of the immutable principle that the revolutionary idea and undying feats of the President are the precious treasures guaranteeing the eternal prosperity of the powerful DPRK, reached its climax with the all-people's hymn "Leader Is Always with Us".
