A national sci-tech presentation and symposium in the field of fiber and paper industries took place at the Grand People's Study House under the sponsorship of the Korean Association of Fiber and Paper Industries of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
The presentation and symposium were aimed at widely disseminating and generalizing the sci-tech achievements made in normalizing the production and readjusting and reinforcing the industrial establishments in the field of fiber and paper industries and seeking sci-tech proposals for improving the quality of the products and developing the fiber and paper industries constantly.
Present there were officials, teachers, researchers, field technicians and postgraduate students of different units including the Paper Technology Institute under the State Academy of Sciences, the Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry and the Phyongbuk College of Technology.
Submitted to the presentation were more than 100 papers for normalized fiber and paper production and readjustment and reinforcement of fiber and paper industries which will make a substantial contribution to the economic construction and the improvement of the people's living.
