Memorial events were held by the General Association of Koreans in China on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the demise of the great leader Kim Il Sung.
The officials and members of the General Association of Koreans in China, the Association of Korean Women in China and the Jilin City Branch of the Jilin Regional Association of the General Association of Koreans in China, and the family of the Chairman of the Jilin Regional Association laid floral baskets before the bronze statue of Kim Il Sung at the Yuwen Middle School in Jilin of China and paid homage to him.
Floral baskets were placed before the portraits of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and their pictures at the embassy and mission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in China in the name of the Zhongnan Regional Association of the General Association of Koreans in China and the Association of Young Korean Nationals in China.
The General Association of Koreans in China held a memorial meeting in its conference room on the 8th on the same occasion.
Present at the meeting were Chairwoman Choe Un Bok and other officials of the General Association of Koreans in China, the Vice-Chairman of the Federation of Korean National Economic Workers in China, members of the Association of Young Korean Nationals in China and citizens of the Shenyang City Branch of the Liaoning Regional Association of the General Association of Koreans in China.
Speakers highly praised Kim Il Sung as the father of the nation, an ever-victorious, iron-willed brilliant commander, an outstanding leader of the Korean revolution and the world revolution and the greatest of great men recognized by the whole world who devoted himself only to the freedom and liberation of the people, the prosperity of all generations and the happiness of the overseas compatriots and to the brilliant victory of the cause of global independence all his life.
A letter to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un by the General Association of Koreans in China was adopted at the meeting.
The meeting was followed by a memorial concert.
That day witnessed round-table talks held at the Zhongnan Regional Association, the Harbin Regional Association and the Jilin City Branch of the Jilin Regional Association of the General Association of Koreans in China on the same occasion.
