An enlarged plenary meeting of the Cabinet Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea was held on the 14th to implement the decisions of the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.
Present at the meeting were Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Vice-President of the State Affairs Commission and Premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and members and alternate members of the Cabinet Party Committee. Officials concerned were also on hand as observers.
The meeting summed up in detail the work for the implementation of the decisions of the Ninth Plenary Meeting and the 19th Enlarged Meeting of the Political Bureau of the Eighth Party Central Committee in the first half of the year. It seriously discussed the issues facing the Cabinet Party Committee in perfectly carrying out the policy tasks for the Cabinet and the national economic guidance organs on the basis of the orientation of struggle and guidelines adopted at the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee.
A report was made by Ri Yong Sik, Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Party Committee.
The meeting made a detailed and strict analysis and review of the shortcomings revealed in the work for implementing the Party decisions in the first half of the year and their causes.
It also stressed the need for the Cabinet Party Committee and Party organizations at all levels to powerfully rouse the officials and working people to the struggle for providing a clear practical guarantee for carrying out the five-year plan, true to the grand plan of the Party Central Committee.
The meeting made discussions and adopted a supplementary decision for ensuring thorough and perfect implementation of the policy tasks clarified at the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee.
