Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- The second-stage modernization project makes headway at the Kumsong Tractor Factory in the DPRK.
The construction work for more than 20 objects is now progressing at the final stage with that for more than 30 objects being accelerated.
Soldier-builders finished the construction of such objects as the oxygen generating ground, pumping station and raw materials preparation workshop and made innovations in the construction of gymnasium, workers' hostel, product exhibition ground and repair shop.
Officials and technicians in charge of the modernization of production lines have established production lines such as assembly line of tractor cabin, assembly line of rice-transplanting machine and assembly line of rice combine harvester in close cooperation with scientific research units.
A nationwide technical innovation contest was held to develop a prototype of new tractor, making progress in updating the production lines. -0-
