Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryavkov clarified the stand to respond to the confrontation moves of the US and NATO in an international meeting on July 18.
He said that Russia would not exclude the deployment of nuclear missiles in reaction to the US’ missile deployment in Germany.
If the German government regards it as appropriate to escalate tension against Russia, the Russian government will react to that by a method it considers as the most just one as a retaliatory measure, he warned.
Referring to the need for his country to revise countermeasures in consideration of the total abilities of NATO member states, he asserted that Russia should not be restrained by anything as regards the place and time of deployment.
He said that Russia should get ready for coping with all kinds of scenarios, including the possibility of the US massively expanding its nuclear potential.
