Young people are now full of immense enthusiasm to successfully carry forward the spirit of defending the country and the revolution displayed by the victorious wartime generation across the country. Against this background, meetings were held between war veterans and young people and students in Jagang, Kangwon and South Hamgyong provinces on the occasion of the 71 st anniversary of victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
Present there were youth league officials and youth and students in the provinces.
War veterans made remarks at the meetings.
They said that young people held arms firmly in their hands and courageously volunteered to fight at the front in order to defend their precious country, beloved blood relatives and dear native places liberated by President Kim Il Sung at the time when the country was faced with severe ordeals.
They noted that they could win a great victory in the fierce Fatherland Liberation War entirely because they devotedly defended every inch of the country, the whole of their life and happiness, at the cost of their lives by keeping the strong faith that they would surely win as they were led by the President.
The war veterans said the new generations shoulder the honourable mission to shape the future of a powerful country and handed the sacred flag of the DPRK over to young people, earnestly requesting all the young people to remain loyal to the ideology and leadership of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un for the eternal prosperity of the country.
Then young people made speeches.
The speakers expressed their determination to fly the flag of the DPRK, which was fluttered by the heroic wartime generation on every burning height at the cost of their blood and sweat in the transparent spirit of devotedly defending the leader and the country, generation after generation in every key field of socialist construction.
They said they would faithfully take over the baton of loyalty and patriotism passed on by the revolutionary forerunners, closely rallied around the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un, and fully display the mettle and courage of the patriotic youth in the ongoing general advance for the comprehensive development of Korean-style socialism.
