Academic degrees and titles were awarded to intellectuals on the occasion of the significant V-Day.
According to a decision of the State Commission for Conferment of Academic Degrees and Titles, the title of candidate academician was awarded to Sin Kyong Ho, Rector of the Phyongsong University of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry.
Professorship was awarded to seven persons including Ju Il Ung, Teacher of the Central Cadres Training School of the Workers' Party of Korea, and Kang Hyon Sang, Director of Kim Il Sung University.
Doctorate was conferred on 74 persons including Kim Ung Gol, Teacher of the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK, Pak Kyong Chol, Head of a Department of Kim Il Sung University, Pae Kyong Ho, Section Chief of Kim Chaek University of Technology, and Kim Hyon Chol, Dean of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education.
Associate professorship was awarded to 149 persons and mastership to 1,221.
