V-day July 27 Will Be Immortal: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Saturday dedicates an article to the 71st anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. The brilliant victory in the Fatherland Liberation War was the victory of the defender against the aggressor, the victory of justice and progress against injustice and reactionaries, and the victory of great significance in human history, which proved the immutable truth that no formidable and dominant aggressors can defeat the people all out for do-or-die resistance, the article says, and goes on: The Fatherland Liberation War was a revolutionary war, in which the eternal tradition of victory and heroic spirit of the country and its people were provided. During the war, the DPRK people and service personnel fully demonstrated as the spirit of heroic Korea the spirit of the leader-centered unity created by the anti-Japanese forerunners, the indomitable fighting spirit of defeating the enemy though one may die a thousand deaths and the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance of making bullets and shells with bare hands. The matchless heroism, self-sacrificing spirit and perseverance have been consolidated into the traits peculiar to the DPRK people. The three years of the war created the spirit of defending the country and the revolution and developed it into all-people ideological sentiments. So, for decades after the war, the people have won one victory after another in the confrontation with imperialism and brought about epoch-making creation and changes in the face of the trials of history. It is the greatest pride of our people to have the history and tradition of victory to defend the ever-victorious Korean revolution and add eternal luster to the mightiness of the DPRK. It is the unshakable faith of all the people and service personnel that the DPRK, the most dignified and independent power, will demonstrate its might as an eternal victorious country along with the steady continuity of the spirit of defending the country as it is led by the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.
