Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) -- The forestry sector in the DPRK strives to minimize the damage from disastrous abnormal weather.
Forestry and timber production stations under the Ryanggang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau are taking measures to find and remove risk factors for log transport.
The Jagang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau has directed efforts to retaining walls, cleaning canals and diverting a stream from its course in order to protect the roads for the log transport from landslides and valley streams.
The forestry management bureaus in North and South Hamgyong provinces, too, have pushed ahead with the work to prevent the natural disasters. -0-
