Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov criticized the confrontation policy of the US and the West in an interview held in Vientiane, Laos, on July 27.
Disclosing that the US, together with the UK and the EU, is attempting to establish blocs equipped with nuclear components in the Asia-Pacific region, he asserted that a plan of AUKUS consisting of the US, the UK and Australia for building a nuclear submarine is very dangerous and therefore it should be constantly watched by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Referring to the fact that the military security issue is being directed towards confrontation by the US, he stressed that it quit the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, produced such missiles and is scheming to deploy them in Europe and the Asia-Pacific.
Western countries, ignoring Russia’s stand, want it to surrender concerning the Ukrainian issue, but there will be never such a thing and all the goals of its special military operations will be achieved, he declared.
