The Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League issued an appeal to all the youth league organizations and young people across the country on August 3 and the enthusiasm for volunteering to go to the rehabilitation campaign sites is rising higher among the young people.
The 22nd emergency enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea adopted a decision to dispatch the Paektusan Hero Youth Shock Brigade to the construction sites of modern dwelling houses in the disaster areas in Sinuiju City and Uiju County.
Replying to the Party’s call, youth league officials and other young people across the country are full of ardent zeal to perform fresh, heroic youth miracles in the rehabilitation campaign as befits the reliable reserves and scout party of the WPK with the faith and guts to move even the earth when they are trusted by the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un.
On August 4 the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the youth league held a meeting of volunteering for the rehabilitation campaign to make the young people deeply realize that the work of rehabilitation is another course of revolutionary university and the fierce class struggle for dealing a heavy blow to the enemies running amuck for tarnishing the dignified image of the DPRK.
Similar meetings took place in all provinces and municipalities.
The number of the volunteers for the campaign is over 231 930 as of August 4.
This fact fully shows the excellent ideological and mental trait of the youth vanguards in the new era filled with the conviction and will to defend the absolute dignity and authority of the Party Central Committee through death-defying devotion and patriotic struggle.
This reality also proves the validity and vitality of the WPK’s idea of valuing the youth.
