Rodong Sinmun Calls for Turing Disaster Areas into People's Paradise

Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) -- It is the unshakable faith of all the people that the cradle of happiness will be surely built in the flood-hit areas and that they will lead a better life with brighter future as they are led by the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, says Rodong Sinmun Sunday in an editorial. It is the noble intention and sincerity of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea to take more care of the people suffering from disaster and bring their laughter and happiness into full bloom even by lavishing enormous wealth on them, the editorial says, and goes on: More than 10 days have passed since the flooding affected some parts of North Phyongan and Jagang provinces. They were the days when the great Party Central Committee took warm care of the people with ardent love and devotion, regarding them as heaven. The Party Central Committee took strong measures to provide flood victims with daily necessities and intensify the health and hygienic work while paying deep attention to supplying domestic water. Such measures reflect the profound intention and sincerity of the Party Central Committee to give top priority to the health and life of the flood victims and relieve them from any sorrow. All the efforts of the Party and the state are now concentrated on the campaign for recovering from flood damage. Steadfast are the plan and determination of the Party Central Committee to bring about a radical change in the disaster-hit areas through faithful service and good results for the people's greater wellbeing and firmly defend the trust of our people in the Party. Our Party places great trust in the patriotic enthusiasm and courage of all the people in the recovery work. The editorial calls upon all the people to bring about miraculous victory in the rehabilitation work, true to the noble intention of the Party Central Committee making devoted service for the people's wellbeing and thus fully demonstrate to the world the mightiness and invincible spirit of the DPRK which is advancing despite difficulties.
