Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- Greeting the day of national liberation, all the people in the DPRK recollect the immortal feats of the anti-Japanese forerunners, the first generation of the Korean revolution who created the tradition to be preserved and glorified forever generation after generation.

Their absolute loyalty to the ideas and cause of the leader and spirit of unconditionally carrying out the revolutionary tasks have served as an ideological and spiritual motive force propelling the victorious advance of the Korean revolution and as an inexhaustible irresistible force guaranteeing the eternal glory of the revolution and the nation.

Kim Hyok, Cha Kwang Su, Choe Chang Gol and other young communists, who held the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung in high esteem as the center of leadership and unity at the dawn of the Korean revolution, had always accepted the tasks given by him as the supreme order and carried them out without an inch of deflection in any adversity.

O Jung Hup, Choe Chun Guk, O Paek Ryong and Ryu Kyong Su, genuine models in defending the leader unto death, regarded as their unshakable faith and will the immutable truth that the revolution could make a dynamic advance without setback and stalemate only through the struggle for thoroughly implementing the leader's order and instructions and the life of a revolutionary soldier could be glorified only in this road.

Among those passionate and loyal subjects with a revolutionary obligation were Kim Jin, who covered the enemy's pillbox with his body to ensure the advance of his unit, Ma Tong Hui, who cut off his tongue to keep the secret of the headquarters in prison, and Choe Hui Suk, Ri Kye Sun, Kwon Yong Byok and Ri Je Sun, who struck terror into the enemies even at the last moments of their lives.

The noble life of the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters, including Kim Chaek, Kang Kon, An Kil, Choe Hyon, Kim Il, Rim Chun Chu, O Jin U and Ri Ul Sol who defended their leader's ideology and lines and ensured his wellbeing at the cost of their lives, is still alive in the memory of the country and people.

The first generation of the revolution created a living example of thoroughly implementing the order of the leader, invariably and single-mindedly following him with arms in hands, at the start of the Korean revolution. Their feats and noble spirit are the source of invincible might and the eternal spiritual and moral asset that make it possible to glorify our revolution with victory and glory. -0-
