Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) -- Floral baskets were sent to the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill here on the occasion of the 76th birthday of the DPRK by the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), the Standing Council of the Korean Federation of Workers in Commerce in Japan, the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Youth League in Japan, the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan and the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Korean Students in Japan.
The floral baskets were laid before the statues of the great leaders on Saturday. Present there were members of the congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan on a visit to the socialist homeland to celebrate the 76th founding anniversary of the DPRK.
Meanwhile, a home-visiting group of students in their final year at Korean University of Chongryon visited the statues of the great leaders on the same day to lay a floral basket. -0-
