Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Receives Greetings from Chinese President

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a message of greeting from Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of the People's Republic of China (PRC), on September 9.

In the message, Xi Jinping extended heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government and people and on his own behalf to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and the Workers' Party of Korea, the DPRK government and the Korean people on the 76th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Over the past 76 years, the Korean people have propelled the steady development of every affair of the state with their single-minded unity under the leadership of the WPK, the message said, adding:

In recent years, you, general secretary, have made a series of achievements in the construction and development by guiding the Korean party and people to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Eighth Party Congress and the plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee.

I am sure that the Korean people will certainly win a victory, steadily fresh and greater, in the course of promoting the socialist cause of Korean style under the leadership of the WPK headed by you.

China and the DPRK are linked by the same mountain and rivers and the traditional friendship has been further consolidated with the passage of time.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and it is a "year of China-DPRK friendship".

Under the new situation in the new period, the Chinese side will continue to view and deal with the China-DPRK relations at a strategic level and from a long-term angle and is ready to provide the peoples of the two countries with more welfare and make greater contribution to peace, stability, development and prosperity in the region and the world by jointly promoting the socialist cause while jointly and successfully defending, consolidating and developing the traditional China-DPRK friendly and cooperative relations by deepening the strategic communication and boosting coordination and cooperation together with the side of the DPRK.

The message wished the DPRK prosperity and the Korean people happiness and wellbeing. -0-
