The Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea advanced giving priority to enlisting and increasing scientific and technological abilities as a primary task for leading the ongoing key projects of national importance to a successful conclusion.
In order to carry it out, the Chongnyu Pharmaceutical Factory in the capital city of Pyongyang is increasing the production while actively studying and introducing scientific proposals to further raise the efficacy of Koryo medicines.
The factory makes extracts of Koryo medicines on a high level so that all its products thoroughly accord with the medical standards. What is important here was to build up the technical forces of the factory and plan and guide well the work for making the employees masters and executors of the scientific and technological drive.
The officials have fully supplied necessary data after learning in detail about the technical problems for making extracts of Koryo medicines on a higher level and mapping out the studying plan in a realistic way.
Pharmacist Ri Jong Hui says:
"We have established new processes of making standardized extracts according to the characteristics of our factory which produces Koryo medicines and improved their quality.
We have also installed the equipment including the automatic capsule filling machine that can raise the efficacy of ingredients of medicinal herbs to the maximum and established new systems for strictly analyzing the quality indices of the raw materials and products by thoroughly relying on our own technical forces."
The factory always lends an ear to the comments of the people and holds the show for evaluating the quality of the produced medicines more than once a week, making an active contribution to improving the technical knowledge and skills of its employees.
It is constantly strengthening its own technical forces, bearing in mind that increasing scientific and technological abilities is a shortcut to the successful conclusion of the work for the second half of this year.
