Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- Agricultural workers in North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK have completed in the main the preparations for sowing winter wheat and barley.
Koksan and Suan counties carried organic manure, slaked lime and other materials to farm fields just after harvesting earlier crops.
Agricultural workers in Sohung and Kumchon counties raised the germination rate of seeds and put their drying and disinfection on a sci-tech basis.
Singye and Hwangju counties stepped up the ploughing and harrowing of farm fields and Thosan and Junghwa counties remodeled wheat and barley planters in a rational way.
Farms in Yonsan and Phyongsan counties, too, made preparations for winter wheat and barley sowing in a responsible manner according to the farming processes. -0-
