One day in July Juche 76 (1987), Chairman Kim Jong Il met an official who returned home after working in a region.
After learning in detail about the work of the official and the farming situation there, the Chairman asked if he had visited peasants' houses.
The official said that he had visited more than ten families and that he had been asked by the peasants to settle the issue of floor paper.
With a broad smile on his face, the Chairman said that it was very good and he met the genuine master responsible for people's living.
Looking at the official kindly, the Chairman said:
Some time ago, President Kim Il Sung said that he met many officials requesting him to send tractors and fertilizer at farm villages, but he had never seen an official asking him to solve the issue of rice bowl, he was pleased to see the real master of the people's living.
The Chairman said that it is very good that the official had heard the voice of the housekeepers in the rural village asking for the settlement of the floor paper, he was glad to know what the people wanted and was glad to be able to put efforts into it. He repeatedly praised the official for having done a very good thing.
Looking up to the Chairman, the official renewed his resolve to become a true servant of the people. -0-
