Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- The declining years of the old people are getting more miserable in the corrupt Japanese society where money is everything.
The old people are called "living corpses" and "social scum" even by their children, and are subject to all sorts of maltreatment and humiliation. They finally choose the fate of calm death while leading a lonely life, separated from their families.
According to the data released by the Police Agency of Japan recently, 37 227 people died while living alone from January to June this year.
Of them, 28 330 people were aged over 65, accounting for 76.1%.
This is an inevitable phenomenon in Japan where the way of thinking "parents are needed for money" and the social climate based on it prevail.
It is an everyday occurrence in Japan that a son strangled his old father to death and a daughter killed her old mother for the reason that it is difficult to take care of her. It is obvious that it is not easy to die in peace in such a devil society where parents were sentenced to "death" by their children.
Of course, there are such social "protection facilities" as "the old people’s welfare service facilities" and "the old people’s homes", but they are more terrible.
Numerous old persons were killed in different parts of Japan. An employee of an old people’s welfare service facility, who became irritated by taking care of an 81-year-old person, beat the person to death and an old people's home killed an old person by injecting poisonous medicine in order to take away the remaining money.
It is foolish for the old people, who are exposed to the threat of life while being subject to maltreatment even by their children, to think that they will entrust their destiny to others.
The old people who cannot find a safe place and are in the position of losing their lives by their children are, after all, choosing a comfortable "lonely life". Such phenomena are rampant day by day.
In a word, the single life of the old in Japan is a choice of the last resort to avoid "death penalty" by social evil.
All facts go to prove that the Japanese society where the old have to spend the last years of their life as days of horror and pain called the "stay period of execution of death penalty" is a theatre of evil virtues, debris of human ethics and a veritable hell. -0-
